I am passionate about creative small businesses, and about simplifying business as well as life in general. That’s why I’m going to help you reduce the overwhelm in your creative small business, and spend more time doing what you love. And that’s why I’m so pleased that you’re here!
To help you say no to the overwhelm and yes to the support and community you need.

I’m going to be the Dr Watson to your Sherlock Holmes: you’re the mastermind genius and I’m the critical support whenever you need me. But wait, let me tell you a bit about me first…

Hi, I’m Sophie ingleby.

A Virtual Assistant, writer, mum of 3 & wife, based in North Yorkshire in the UK. I work remotely from my home to help (mostly creative) business owners to reduce their stress by reducing their workload. Since 2021 I’ve provided online support for busy business owners in a wide range of tasks and supportive roles.

After starting my own creative business in 2016, I recognised the need for supportive help. Business owners wear many ‘hats’, some of those ‘hats’ are fun, and others, honestly, just aren’t. Not only that, but having all of those hats is extremely overwhelming and stressful. It is practically impossible to do everything yourself, but there seemed to be nothing that business owners could do.

Speaking to my creative business owner colleagues, they’d tell me how quickly their to-do list was growing, how trying to meet the deadlines and staying on top in their business was a struggle, and how they couldn’t afford to hire a member of staff full time to help. As a solution, I offered to help!

I’ve helped hundreds of creative business
owners.

Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of creative business owners to run, organise and improve their businesses by providing administrative assistance as and when they need it. I’ve worked with businesses for long periods, including years at a time, to the other end of the spectrum where I was hired to help clients to complete a single project or task, many of which have returned again in the future when they need help with a new project.

In February 2023, I gave birth to my third baby and everything changed. My beautiful brand new baby boy had/s lots of wonderful quirks, and not so wonderful health issues.

So I’ve been working to simplify my business and the way I earn an income. I’ve gone from having lots and lots of long term clients, to just a handful. I’m in the process of slowing down my long term clients to focus on short term work while I manage the unpredictability of his health issues.
