Organise Your Substack for Success with My Tagging Service
Your Substack is full of content that deserves to be read. But, your readers don’t have the time to sift through aaalll of your posts to find what they’re looking for. That’s why having an organised and easy to navigate Substack is key in attracting new readers, and getting them to stick around for a while (and hopefully upgrading to paid when the time is right).
When you make it easy for your audience to find what they’re looking for, you make it easy for them to stick around. But I get it, you’re busy and you don’t have time to go back through your archive of posts and organise them. That’s where I come in. My Substack Tagging Service is designed to help busy creatives like you to simplify and organise your Substack posts, attract new subscribers, and make it easy for them to stay a while.
What exactly is My Substack Tagging Service?
We’ll work together to design a clear tagging system that includes all of the main themes and key categories of your content. These tags will make it simple for readers to explore your recent posts, as well as your archive.
After creating a custom tagging structure, I’ll go through your past posts, tagging each one. This is about thoughtfully organising your archive so that your readers can find what they’re looking for easily and quickly.
Add-On: Substack Navigation & Layout Update
Want to make your Substack even easier to navigate? Add on my Navigation & Layout Update option, where I’ll:
Update Your Navigation Bar: I’ll declutter and organise your main navigation to ensure your key themes, categories, and topics are clearly displayed.
Enhance Your Home Page Layout: I’ll review your current home page and create a new layout that puts your content right where your readers can find it.
Create Contents Pages: I can create a custom “Contents” page to house all of your tags, categories, and sections, where your readers can find everything that you have to offer on your Substack publication.
How This Benefits Your Substack:
Keeps Readers Engaged: A well-organised Substack is easy to navigate, and keeps your readers on your page for longer, diving deeper into the topics they’re most interested in.
Highlights Your Expertise: Show your audience all that you have to offer on your Substack by having your content organised into clear tags and themes. Not only is it easier for them to find what they’re looking for, it also shows them that you know what you’re talking about.
Breathes New Life into Old Posts: With an organised Substack, even your earliest posts can stay relevant and easy to find. And that means that your posts can keep attracting new subscribers, months and even years down the line.
How It Works:
Complete the Form: To kick things off, you’ll complete a quick form where you can share more details about your Substack, your main themes or topics that you write about, and any specific goals you have for the tagging. This helps me understand your content and prepare for our chat.
Zoom Chat: We’ll then have a chat to go over your responses. I want to understand the topics you write about, the kinds of content you’re known for, and any specific areas you’d like to highlight for your readers.
Create a Tag Structure: During our call we’ll create a tagging system that reflects your main themes, categories, and any specific topics that regularly come up in your work (such as guest posts or an ongoing series).
Archive Review & Tagging: I’ll go through your archive and apply the tags, making sure each post is labelled clearly.
(Optional) Navigation & Layout Update: If you choose the add-on, I’ll work on your navigation bar, update your home page layout, and create a ‘Contents’ page to include your categories and tags.
